We purposefully integrate mathematics into children’s play where children actively engage in opportunities to develop knowledge and skills that are seamlessly woven into their play, creating a dynamic learning environment. Play-based learning introduces counting through activities like counting objects and exploring shapes. Measurement concepts emerge as students compare object sizes and engage in simple experiments. Patterns and sequences are explored through rhythmic patterns and body movements. In pretend shopping scenarios, students use play money to calculate costs, introducing addition and coin value understanding. These hands-on experiences make maths tangible and foster natural curiosity.
